Forestrycarbon.com is a non-profit program developed to provide payments for carbon sequestration credits to small and medium-sized landowners unable to trade their carbon credits directly (requiring enormous acreages).

We link family forest owners, like you, to carbon payment programs so they can be rewarded for good stewardship of the forest.

Forestycarbon.com launches “carbon trading for the rest of us”.

With climate change becoming more of an issue concerning people around the world many in the US are taking action and offsetting the carbon generated by their home heating, transportation, and other impacts.

The Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) was developed as a platform to help buyers and sellers connect and trade carbon offsets (see more elsewhere on this site).

Unfortunately it has tended just to benefit larger companies and very large forest landowners. Forestrycarbon.com was developed to help smaller forest landowners earn credits for their forests' carbon storing benefits.

While carbon prices are extremely low in the US, landowners in the Central Appalachian region can access the Appalachian Carbon Partnership and landowners in the Pacific Northwest practicing sustainable forestry can enroll in Northwest Neutral.
